One-piece what

There was a time you wouldn't catch me dead in a bikini. It was high school, I was 20 pounds heavier, and I just wasn't having it. One-pieces (often of the Speedo variety until Calvin Klein came along circa 1997 with some spaghetti straps) paired with board shorts abounded. It wasn't until the summer after freshman year of college, weight shorn, that I was able to coax myself into anything that allowed my stomach to see the light of day. And for years now, bikinis have been my status quo. But as they say; the times, they are a-changin'. Inspired in part by Kate's foray into amazing vintage-style one-piece swimsuits, and also Haley's penchant for integrating the one-piece into even non-beach life events, (see below; yes, that is the world's most amazing floral one-piece underneath that skirt)....

...I decided to make my own attempt at one-piece greatness once more.
